Manchester United are reportedly eyeing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
The 23 year old has had limited playing time at the capital club this season due to the presence of Pepe and Sergio Ramos. And may be opened to a move.
The Frenchman has been a long term United target, and in 2011, under Sir Alex, United wanted to sign the defender, but latter signed Phil Jones - who has been struggling with injuries for the better part of this season.
According to the Mirror, United are lining up a £25m bid for the defender.
United need to beef up their defence as Jones has rarely have a good run of games without injury, and Daley Blind is not an outright defender, though he's done a fantastic job with Smalling this season.
If United hire Mourinho, then the possibility of getting Varane would most likely increase, because the Portuguese signed the Frenchman for Madrid from Lens.
