Manchester United to announce Mourinho as manager today

Manchester United will confirm the former Chelsea boss as their new manager today (Friday).

United started negotiations with the Portuguese almost immediately after Van Gaal's sack was confirmed.

Talks went fast and smooth, as both parties were already prepared for each other, and wanted the deal settled fast. The only obstacle was Mourinho's name and image rights which were still controlled by Chelsea. 

This was solved on Wednesday and Mourinho signed the United contract on Thursday somewhere in London, which officially makes him the new United manager.

United will however release an official statement latter today to confirm the deal and if Mourinho wants, present him to the media.
