The German captain has congratulated Rashford for scoring on his senior debut.
Rashford only needed three minutes to announce himself in the friendly match between England and Australia at the stadium of Light.
The Manchester United star became the youngest England player to score on his debut.
Schweinsteiger tweeted this to Rashford:

Schweinsteiger himself is hoping to be fit before the beginning of the European Championship.
He has started training with the team, according to manager Joachim Löw and the midfielder is in right on schedule for the competition.
