José Mourinho first Manchester United signing to be confirmed in the next 48 hours

Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be the Portuguese first signing as United boss, and the deal could be announced within the next 48 hours.

The Swede is a free agent after confirming that he would be leaving PSG this summer. The duo worked together at Inter and are reportedly keen on reuniting again.

Reports emerged from France few weeks ago that Ibrahimovic had agreed a one year deal with United, with the option of another year.

His agent came out to rubbish the claim, but the deal could now be announced hours after José is confirmed.

Ibra is reportedly keen on resolving his future before the European Championship, even though he earlier claimed he knows where he would be playing next season.

Reports from Sweden via Daily Express is that Ibra will join United in dual capacity, as  an assistant manager and as a player.

The big Swede will most likely join United as a player in his first season, with Mourinho arriving at United with his back room staff. He may now assume the dual as a backroom staff and player in his second season if his performance drops or depending on negotiation.

According to the Mirror Mourinho has also noted  Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, Everton’s John Stones, Paris Saint- Germain’s Marquinhos and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as his key targets.
