The former Manchester United striker is tipping United to end the season on a high by winning the FA Cup.
United will be seeking to win a trophy they last won in 2004, and one that could be Van Gaal's first and last for the club.
Owen thinks United's unpredictability has made it difficult to accurately predict United matches, but believes the late surge of form in the United camp will lift them through this one.
He wrote on his Colossus bet blog
"Predicting what United side will turn up this season has not been easy but at least they appear to have discovered a bit more verve going forward in the latter half of the campaign, with the likes of Rashford and Martial coming to the fore.
"There are few things that fans, and players, enjoy better than lifting a trophy at Wembley and I reckon United can see off Palace 2-1 in 90 minutes."
United fans will be hoping Owen gets this right.
