Manchester United to spend £200m on new signings

Robin Van Persie
Manchester will spend heavily to bring new faces to Old Trafford this summer according to striker Robin Van Persie. The transfer has opened slowly for United, as the club have made only one major signing in Memphis Depay.
Last season United spent over £150m on purchasing new players under Van Gaal’s debut season. Though the team achieved its minimum target of a Champions League spot, a lot still need to be put in place for the team to challenge for titles on home front and in Europe. Last season performance opened up the reasons why United must invest in the team again, especially in defence and at least on one striker, as United struggled for the goals last season.
Things may get complicated for United on the transfer front if as widely expected goalkeeper David De Gea departs, as the team may need to add the burden of getting another keeper to it’s already established needs of a number of decent signings.
But an insider, Dutch striker Van persie believes United will splash the cash once again, as they look to challenge for honors next season.

He told Manchester Evening News “United spent £200m on players and they are going to spend another £200m this summer so that we will have a team that can compete for the title.”

Monday Manchester United Mathematics: test your knowledge of the United team

Mathematics is one subject hated by a lot of people for various reasons.  But irrespective of our love or hatred for the subject, it’s one subject whose application is need by all in our daily life activities.

But when blended with football, mathematics could be an interesting subject for the fans, here RedlyUnited is blending Mathematics with football, hey not the hard part of mathematics as we know not everybody is a mathematician, but we’re just testing our basic mathematical knowledge, while also having fun.

So here is it. Our values or numbers are gotten from Manchester United player jersey numbers. And we add, subtract, divide and multiply these values to get another number,  which will be the jersey number of another United player and that player becomes our final answer.

Example: Solve the equation: De Gea plus Shaw

Answer:    De Gea wears Jersey number 1
Shaw wears the jersey number 3
Therefore De Gea plus Shaw is 1 plus 3 which equals to 4   i.e 1+3 =4
And the jersy number 4 is worn by Jones
Therefore De Gea plus Shaw equals Jones.

SIMPLE AND FUNNY I THINK

Now here’s today’s class work

Blackett multiplied by Jones, divided by Herrera is   …..

Blackett * Jones/ Herrera is …………….

Answer coming latter in the day….

Manchester United target most likely to leave present club, advised to move to United

Schneiderlin
Southampton star midfielder Schneiderlin is “more likely to leave the club” according to club legend Le Tissier. The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent times, but over the last few days, news and rumor of a move to United have surfaced and intensified. Southampton held on to the midfielder last season, despite the mass exodus of their key players. But Le Tissier believes the saints may no longer be able to hold on to their star man. Le Tissier told Sky Sports “it’s probably more likely that he’ll leave than stay. The big question is whether a top four side meets his valuation."
The player recently voiced out his intention to play for a team playing in the Champions League. And with United almost qualifying, it remains to be seen if the move can happen.
Le Tissier also reckons that a united move would be beneficial to both the player and United. “Out of those sides, it is Manchester United that need him most as they require strengthening in that position. Schneiderlin is the sort of player they should be looking for, having proven over the last few seasons that he can mix it with the top sides. “
The legend also believes it’s a deal that may not cost United a fortune, “we paid about £1 million for him back in 2008 so with a couple of promotions and another decent transfer fee it certainly represents another good return.
“I think Southampton have always been fair with players and not stood in their way when bigger clubs have meet their valuation, which was shown last summer.”

Do you think United should go for and sign Schneiderlin?
