Zlatan Ibrahimovic is keen on a move to United that will see him reunite with his former boss José Mourinho.
The duo had a successful working time at Inter Milan, and would welcome the possibility of working together again.
The 34 year old has reportedly told Manchester United he would want to join them. According to the Guardian, the Swede is requesting for a deal worth €15m per season.
Mourinho is believed to be mauling over the possibility of offering Ibra a contract.
Since the player will be joining on a free transfer, his huge wage demand would be cancelled out. And a player of Ibrahimovic's status will offer United much on the commercial side.
