The Dutchman in his characteristic media flamboyance described the Wembley stadium as the most prestigious temple of England ahead of the FA Cup final.
United face Crystal Palace in the finals of the FA Cup at Wembley after defeating Everton in the semifinals at the same venue.
Van Gaal however admits that United are closer now, but being close is not enough.
"Close is not enough you have to win it. Now we can win something. You cannot predict a final, you have seen it yesterday [when Liverpool lost to Sevillal] for example. He said via Manutd.com
'When you win silverware it is always important for the players. They can look and they can hold the cup and that is an exciting moment. The FA Cup is a big title in England, we are playing in the most prestigious temple of England."
Wembley is no doubt one of the most memorable stadiums in the world.
With a 90,000 sitting capacity, that will be filled up for FA Cup finals, United will be hoping to have a wonderful and happy worship in the temple after the game.
