Mourinho orders the purchase of Atletico Madrid star

The new United boss is highly interested in Atletico's Saul Niguez .

According to Daily Star, Mourinho has told the United hierarchy to do all they can to get the Spaniard. The player reportedly has a buyout clause of £54m.

The 21 year old has been one of the stand out performers in the current Atletico side, that were beaten in the Champions League finals by city rivals Real Madrid.

Saul's spectacular goal in the semifinals against Bayern is one that epitomises the players potential and brilliance.

United vice chairman Ed. Woodward was in Milan for the  Champions League finals, and might have met with the agents of some United targets, Saul inclusive.

The players versatility makes him an asset. He can play wide on the left, in the defence as a left back or as a central midfielder.

It remains to be seen if United will sign the player. But a youngster like Saul will definitely turn out to be a good buy for United and is one for the future.
