The United midfielder is already looking at the bright future of the club.
United may have endured a poor frustrating season, one big positive this season has offered United is the birth of a number of youngsters that can perfectly fit into the fist team, whenever the need arise.
The likes of Rashford, Fosu-Mensah, Borthwick-Jackson, Varela and co. offers a bright prospect for the team.
Herrera thinks the blend of these youngsters and the right experienced players provides the right template for the new United.
"I said that after the (FA Cup semi-final) game against Everton, (that) something good is being cooked’.
"We have young players – Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Paddy McNair, Andreas Pereira, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Guillermo Varela.
"I think something good is coming and we can make a good mix with experienced players. So I think we can be optimistic - but we have to show it on the pitch." He told The Telegraph.
The passionate midfielder knows United are meant to challenge for honours on all fronts. He admits the team has failed in some competitions, and want to win the FA Cup direly
"We have to be realistic. United should be fighting for every title. We didn’t do that with the Champions League. We didn’t do that with the Premier League. So we have two options.
"Firstly, feel sorry for ourselves. Or, secondly, get this trophy for the fans, for our club and for ourselves.
“We are Manchester United and we have to fight for everything. That starts with the FA Cup now. As players at a big club, we have to look for success and we have to be demanding of ourselves and with the club."
