José Mourinho to make Manchester United decision within the next few days

The former Chelsea manager will take a decision whether to become Man United's next manager or not within the next few days, according to The Telegraph.

The Portuguese is the favorite to replace Van Gaal as United's manager, but there is no official statement from neither camp.

There is still the believe within Old Trafford that Van Gaal can keep his job, if United make the top four (which is still mathematically possible) and win the FA Cup.

According to the report there is a firm Interest from United, but no official agreement has been reached yet.

Mourinho is generally believed to be interested in managing United, but the Portuguese will make a decision based  on assurances that he would have the best platform to work, involved in the day to day running of the team, rather than the team's history or pedigree.

Mourinho has stated his desire to return to management next season, and it remains to be seen which club he would finally decide to join.
