Manchester United star makes BBC Premier League team of the season

Manchester United may have endured a frustrating season so far, one of two of its players are still regarded as some of the top performers in their positions in the League this season.

United goalkeeper, David De Gea, has been selected by BBC football analyst Garth Crooks as his best shot stopper in the league this season.

De Gea had a rough start to the season, with his transfer saga to Real Madrid, which caused Van Gaal to rest him from first team duties for the first few games of the season.

After resolving the saga, De Gea returned to the team strong, and has been one of the main reasons behind United's enviable defensive record in the league. He has kept 15 clean sheets in 33 League games this season.

The Spanish international is in  contention for the golden gloves award of the season.

An award he will share with Arsenal's Petr Čech, if he keeps a clean sheet in United's last league game against Bournemouth.
