The Liverpool legend has taken a second thought on the statements he wrote about he United midfielder.
Fellaini was at the centre of controversy, when he was caught on camera elbowing Leicester City defender Robert Huth, after the defender pulled his hair.
Fellaini drew a lot of criticism for the act, and Carragher was one of his critics, when he wrote on his column in the Daily Mail that: "I hope we don’t see his elbows in England again." Which was taken by United fans that the former Liverpool star doesn't want the Belgian to play in the League again.
However in an exclusive interview with Manchester Evening News, Carragher said he shouldn't have said that.
"Yes, I shouldn’t have said that I hope he doesn’t play in England again. I didn’t mean it like that and on reflection I should have taken the line out.
"I didn’t mean he should be thrown out of the league, more that United should move him on.
"My point was that he’d played his last game in the league this season for United and that was hopefully the last we’ll see of his elbows. I know that sounds like the same thing, but I didn’t mean it as bluntly."
That's great from the former England defender coming out to clarify issues.
