For Manchester United fans, the last 24 hours has been highly eventful.
Redlyunited looks at four main events that has affected United on and off the pitch in the last twenty four hours.
1. Lost two possible important signings to Bayern
Bayern Munich's signing of Dortmund defender Mat Hummels didn't come as a huge surprise to United fans, as that transfer route has become a regular one.
United though have been long linked with the defender since the era of David Moyes.
But from the look of things this season, it's fair to say the media and fans saw a move to Bayern coming even though United were still tipped to give a fight in signing the World Cup winner.
Bayern however coincidentally announce his transfer on a day when the United defence that has been praised for much of the season, showed lack of character and steel and conceded three sloppy goals against West Ham.
The more surprising is is the signing of Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches.
A player lot of United fans thought was close to a move to Old Trafford suddenly arrived in Germany with his signature. The deal is a fairly cheap one at £27.5m but how United missed out on the 18 year old remains a wonder.
2. Had bus attacked by West Ham fans
In a very rare incident in England, the United bus was attacked as it got to Boleyn Ground on Tuesday night.
In a match that was predestined to be a cracker, the battle started even before the United players stepped on the pitch.
Unfortunately despite their 2-1 lead midway through the second half, United still surrendered their lead to lose 3-2 on the night.
3. Made history by being the last team to be beaten on the Boleyn Ground
Prior to this game, the Hammers have not beaten United in their last fourteen (14) meeting at Upton Park, but on a night where it mattered the most, United failed to turn up.
United will go down as the last team to be defeated in the 112 history of the stadium!!!
Not a history a team like United should be making.
4. Missed their best chance to make the top four.
After Arsenal's 2-2 draw with City, United that had never been among the top four teams on the Premier League table this year had the ample opportunity of sneaking into the top four with its last two games of the season.
All United had to do was get the maximum six points, and that would leapfrog over neighbours City into the final qualification position for next season's Champions League.
But against a more hungry and determined West Ham side, United lacked the desire, spirit, tenacity and drive you would expect from a top four side.
Fair to say, City had been a little better than United all through the season.
