Four Manchester United players will not be available for selection, while Ashley Young is also doubtful, when United play their last match of the season against Bournemouth.
Long term absentees Bastian Schweinsteiger and Luke Shaw are still out.
The manager has confirmed that Luke Shaw will make his return next season, meaning the player will miss United's FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.
Van Gaal has also confirmed that winger Adnan Januzaj was injured in training over the week and will sit out the game.
“Unfortunately Januzaj has been injured in the training session, so he is out for Sunday. We have to wait and see for the final." Van Gaal said.
Defender Matteo Darmian will also miss the game.
Van Gaal is not sure if Ashley Young will make the squad, though he gave him some chance. Ashley Young will train with the squad on Saturday, Van Gaal confirmed.
"Darmian is still out but can be in. It is dependable on the progress.
"Schweinsteiger is out and Shaw is out.
"Ashley Young is coming in, so he is restored of his injury and can train tomorrow with our squad. But it is one training session."
United will be hoping to get the three points as the team still stand a chance of making the top four, depending on if Swansea can defeat Manchester City.
