Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo turned down a move to Old Trafford this past January.
United could have logically make a move for the wing back.
The Japanese can play both as a right and left back, and with United suffering from multiple injuries to its defender, a bid to bring the player to Old Trafford looks good on paper.
The player may not be leaving Milan soon, as he intends to extend his contract.
"I like everything about Inter, I want to stay here and renew my contract.
"I turned down an offer from Manchester United, as my desire is to stay here. I have an excellent rapport with Roberto Mancini."
He told Inter’s TV channel.
