Roy Hodgson: Marcus Rashford can make the final Euro squad

The England manager has opened up that the Manchester United youngster can be a surprise inclusion in the final England's 23 man squad to the European Championship, even though he reckons it will be hard.

The 18 year old has been named in the 26 man squad, from which three players would be dropped.

A lot of fans are expecting the 18 year old to be among the to be dropped three, but Roy Hodgson thinks Rashford can knock one of the expected players  off their perch.

"He (Rashford) is one of the contenders for the final squad.

"The competition is strong but I think he deserves to be selected in the larger squad. I'm pleased that someone, a young player, has had such an outstanding end to the season has been included.

"I don't see why he can't knock someone off their perch but it will be harder than anyone thinks." The England manager said.
