Manchester United winger Memphis Depay has reportedly held show down talks with Van Gaal on his future and role in the team.
The 22 year old was a signing with a lot of expectations last summer but has failed to live up to expectations. He led his PSV side to the Dutch League title last season with 22 goals.
He has however struggled for form and consistency at Old Trafford, and has found himself on the fringes if first team actions. He's scored only two Premier League goals.
According to the Sun, the player was furious at not been used in games against Leicester City and Crystal Palace. He however returned to the side that faced Norwich and couldn't make an impact in the game.
Memphis future will ultimately depends on who becomes United's coach next season.
I think United should give him another season to prove himself. In selling him, United will be making the same mistake they made with Angel Di Maria.
