Tottenham manager Mauricio
Pochettino has put pen to paper on a new five year deal at the club. This comes weeks after he announced that he had agreed to extend via contract with the London club.
Pochettino is believed to be one of the men under consideration to replace Van Gaal at United.
Sir Alex Ferguson is a huge fan of the Argentine, and both men had a lunch a day before Mauricio Pochettino signed the new deal somewhere in London sparking rumours that United may be preparing a late move for the Tottenham boss. But that was not meant to be.
He led Spurs to a Cup final and fifth place finish in Hus first season, and improved in that leading them to a second place finish, this season. Making Spurs challenge for the title. He's built a good squad around young talented players like Dele Alli and Harry Keane.
With United almost certain to finish outside the top four, it remains to be seen what decision the United board will take on Van Gaal.
