The Manchester United gaffer travelled to Netherlands for the birthday of his daughter, after the woeful home defeat by Southampton on Saturday.
The Dutchman is however back. He arrived in England, late Monday night.
Also back in the country is Belgian midfielder Maroune Fellaini, the player flew in from his country's capital, Brussels.
It is believed that Van Gaal will hold crucial talks with United's executive vice chairman Ed Woodward on Tuesdays about his future.
