According to several reports in England and Marca, the United jersey makers may be willing to sponsor a deal that will bring the duo of Lionel Messi and Pep Guardiola to Old Trafford.
Fans and the media have been critical of Van Gaal's footballing approach at United, as the team have been less than convincing thus season. Adidas CEO recently voiced out his displeasure at United's style of play, even though the sales have been good.
Adidas currently sponsor both Messi and Guardiola which may facilitate the move.
