The Manchester United manager has declared the match against Newcastle as a must win for his team.
United have won their first two matches of the year, though in unconvincing style, and the United gaffer knows his team must get more victories, so as to achieve their target for the season.
Speaking in his pre match press conference ahead if the Newcastle tie, he said:
“We have won two times in a row and maybe it shall give us a boost. You never know. But now we are playing away, it's also different and Newcastle United is playing very well I think. Ok, I see their game against Arsenal and they played very well. But they didn't win and that's the most important thing in football. I don't hope that they win against us. We have to beat them.”
United are fifth on the table, and must get consecutive victories to boost their chances of a top four or a title push.
