The Manchester United manager has revealed that his United team have been boring to him at times, but believes that is football.
Van Gaal has come under intense criticism from former United midfielder Paul Scholes who said the current United side is boring to him, the players themselves, and Van Gaal.
But the Dutchman can do nothing but agree with Scholes that his United side have been boring, While refusing to be drawn into a media brawl with the legend.
Speaking ahead of United's visit to St. James park, he said:
"There are matches that I have enjoyed. And there are also matches where I'm very bored or angry because we are not disorganising our opponent's defence, but that is football."
The Dutchman has also blamed traffic for the early exits at Old Trafford. (Read story here).
