The German suffered an injury scare late in the game against Sheffield United. The injury will no doubt raise concerns judging by his past injury records.
Van Gaal speaking on Schweinsteiger for Newcastle match:
"It shall be difficult. I think it is a knee problem. Everyone thinks he has an ankle problem but I think it’s more the knee than the ankle. We’ll have to wait and see."
The midfielder continued the game, and ended it. But he suffered a lot of knee injury during his last two years at Bayern.
United fans will be hoping it won't be a recurrent of his previous problems with his knee.
