Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic is willing to move with Mourinho from London to Manchester and has reportedly to made this known to new Blues boss Antonio Conte.
Mourinho oversaw Matic's return to Chelsea in 2014, and the Serbian is keen on reuniting with his former boss.
Mourinho is also keen on having the player join him at Old Trafford.
Matic played a vital role in Chelsea's title triumph in 2015, but the duo had a patchy relationship last season, before Mourinho was sacked.
Matic is one the few Chelsea players that defended Mourinho after his sack, and the new United boss wants the Serbian at Old Trafford.
Mourinho has already started signing players at United, as the club recently confirmed the transfer of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal.
Mourinho has been linked to a number of his former players at Chelsea, though it remains to be seen if anyone of them will eventually join him at United.
