The new Manchester United reportedly wants to sign four new players in his first summer transfer window at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese confirmed as United manager just days after Van Gaal's sack has kicked off his transfer dealings with the signing of Eric Bailly from Villarreal.
Mourinho has also given new deals to Michael Carrick and the duo of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Marcus Rashford.
According to M.E.N, club sources have confirmed Mourinho's intent on making four new signings, with Bailly being the first.
Mourinho is believed to be hunting for a striker, a right winger and a centre midfielder.
United are close to confirming Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while the club is still negotiating with Dortmund on a deal for Mkhitaryan. Dortmund are reportedly asking for £30m, while United have offered £27m for the attacking midfielder.
