Dortmund admits improved offer from Manchester United for star winger

Borussia Dortmund's CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has confirmed Manchester United's improved offer for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The playmaker has confirmed his desire to move to United, but the German club were reluctant to negotiate with United, wanting to hold on to the player.

United have had about two bids rejected, but the boss has confirmed a United's offer that has changed everything.

"The situation is now different." The Dortmund executive told Bild.

"Manchester have made a much improved offer. In situations like this there are always a lot of different things to consider and in the end at one point we have to make a decision.

"And as we are back in training on Monday we will decide at the weekend. I have contacted the relevant people and we will weigh things up at the weekend. And then the board will make the decision, definitely at the weekend."

All things been equal, the 27 year old is expected to sign his United deal next week.
