German Club set asking price for Man United target: Deal could happen soon

Manchester United have been linked with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, after the player's agent confirmed that the 27 year old is interested in a move to United.

The player's agent and Dortmund have been at loggerheads over a move, with the German club not prepared to let the player leave, despite having one year left on his current contract.

It however seems both parties are gently reaching a meeting point, after the club reportedly set their asking price at €40m (£30m).

This according to Sky Sports reporter Fabrizio Romano. United are reportedly pushing for a deal, and something could happen soon.

Here's his tweet:

United have tabled a bid in the region of £27m for the player, and with the proximity in price requested and that offered by United,  a further compromise could be reached that would make the deal happen.

Going by his goal and assist stats, Mkhitaryan looks like a player that would be a great addition to United's attack.

He scored 21 goals, and had 20 assists to his credit last season. Would be great to see him at United.
