Wayne Rooney and five others to be rested for Slovakia game

The England boss is ready to rest his captain and five other player who have featured in the Three Lions first two games, when they take on Slovakia in their final group game on Monday night.

England head into the game needing a point to guarantee a place in the second round of the competition.

The Three Lions drew their first game against Russia 1-1, before a Daniel Sturridge late goal helped them to a 2-1 win over Wales.
In both games, Rooney was fantastic, playing from the midfield.

He will however sit out the last group game and with be replaced by Liverpool's Jordan Henderson.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose are all expected to be rested and while Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy, Jack Wilshere, Nathaniel Clyne and Ryan Bertrand are likely to start.

United fans will  be hoping Marcus Rashford will get another substitute appearance and maybe grab a goal.
