Blackburn Rovers have reportedly opened talks about bringing the former Manchester United midfielder Nick Powell to Ewood Park.
Powell joined United from Crewe Alexander in 2012 amid high hopes for his future. He however didn't meet expectations as he struggled with injuries, lack of form and was one of the worse hit players by Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement.
He alongside other three players including Victor Valdes were released by United earlier this month.
According to the Daily Mail, Blackburn manager Owen Coyle is interested in signing the player.
Coyle worked with the midfielder while he was on loan at Wigan Athletic.
Powell and Coyle had a successful time at Wigan as the midfielder made 32 appearances for the Lactics finishing the 2013/14 season as their top scorer with 12 goals.
Though not at United it would be great to see Powell play again and reach great heights.
