Sweden coach praises Ibrahimovic despite Italy defeat

A good number of Manchester United fans are concerned about Zlatan Ibrahimovic's performances in his first two games of the ongoing European Championship.

The striker has not been spectacular as expected, and with his move to United almost done, some United  fans are not convinced.

Sweden are yet to win a game. Their 1-0 defeat to Italy after the draw with Ireland means the Swede need a win against Belgium to make stand a chance of qualifying for the next round.

Coach Erik Hamren however thinks Ibra is doing what is expected of him.

"I think that Zlatan did what he needed to do in the last two matches," He said.

"It was tough for him today because Italy defended very well, but we had more of the ball than we did against Ireland and of course a centre forward needs the support of wingers, but Zlatan is one of the greatest forwards I have ever met.

"He's a winner and if he's disappointed, I think everybody can accept and understand that -- we all are disappointed."

The 34 year old is due to have his Old Trafford medicals after the European Championship. All things being equal, he would provide the lacking focal point in United's attack.
