Man United target prefers Real Madrid against agent's advice - Report

Manchester United's pursuit of Paul Pogba may have suffered a giant setback as the Frenchman reportedly prefers a move to Real Madrid than a return to United, against the advice of his agent Mino Raiola.

According to Manchester Evening News, Pogba would prefer to remain with the Italian Champions than move to Old Trafford.

Raiola has been vital to United's transfer dealings so far, with two of his top clients Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan would be moving to United in the next few days.

Raiola has reportedly advised the Frenchman to work with Mourinho at United for three years then make a move to Real Madrid in 2019, but the player is turning down the suggestion.

Despite the player's huge interest in a move to the Spanish capital, Real may not be so keen on the player, as reports in Spanish outlet AS claims president Florentino Perez is not a huge fan of the 22 year old. While the Spanish club have been linked with Leicester City's N'Golo Kante who could be a cheaper alternative.

Mourinho is keen on strengthen United's midfield with a top signing, with Pogba getting proving difficult to get, he may have to switch to other readily available targets.
