Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has confirmed that striker Alvaro Morata would be heading back to Madrid, though a lot still lies with the Spanish club in making a move.
Morata joined the Italian Champions from Real Madrid, but the Spanish club have a special buy back clause in his contract. With that clause, it's been widely reported that Madrid will buy the player and sell him to make more profit.
The Juventus G.M says the chance of Morata staying with the club is slim.
"Real Madrid are going to exercise their right to buy him back," Marotta said.
"We're just waiting for them to get in touch and then we'll see, but the chance of him staying is slim."
United have been linked with the Spanish forward since José Mourinho took over at United. Mourinho worked with Morata during his spell at the Bernabeu and this knows the player well.
A United move for Morata though looks less likely, with the move of Zlatan Ibrahimovic expected to be confirmed after the European Championship.
