Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has said David de Gea is a one of the beat goalkeepers in the world, but puts the Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon as the best keeper of all time.
Both Italy and Spain will face each other in the second round of the European Championship, in what promises to be an interesting encounter.
De Gea has come under immense criticism for his mist recent performance against Croatia, but coach Del Bosque has exonerated him of any blame, and looks like sticking with the United shot stopper for the game against the Azzurri.
Darmian knows the attackers would do a great job to beat both goalkeepers.
"It’s great to play against David, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world,” Darmian told Sport360.
"Of course it will be difficult to score but we also have a great goalkeeper.
"They are two of the best goalkeepers in the world and yes, there are similarities between David and Gigi for sure. But I think that Gianluigi Buffon is the best goalkeeper of all time. For me as a defender I feel very lucky to play with them."
