Everton monitoring Manchester United midfielder for a move

New Everton boss Ronald Koeman is studying Morgan Schneiderlin's future at United in a hope to bringing him to Goodison Park.

Schneiderlin worked with the Dutchman at Southampton. Koeman was the one who sanctioned his sale to United last summer and is keen on a reunion.

José Mourinho has been targeting Chelsea midfielder Matic, and the Serbian's move to United may further freeze Schneiderlin out of first team duties.

The Frenchman struggled under Van Gaal in his debut season at Old Trafford, that made him almost miss out of the  European Championship. He was called up late on as a replacement for injured Lassana Diarra.

According to Steve Bates in the Sunday People, Koeman is watching closely and will snap up the midfielder, if Mourinho makes him available. Everton will however have to pay the £25m United paid for the Frenchman last summer.
