Confirmed: Rival club pull out of race for Man United target

RB Leipzig have confirmed that they are no longer interested in Swiss sensation Breel Embolo.

The German club were one of the leading clubs in the race for the 19 year old forward, that has attracted interest from Manchester United.

United have reportedly made contact with the player's representatives asking for his availability.

Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick said the club has informed both FC Basel and Embolo's agent of their decision to pull out.

"We’ve informed the agent of Embolo and FC Basel that we are no longer interested in his transfer." He said.

This will come as a good news for United, who would have less competition for the player.

Though 19, Embolo has won three League titles with Basel and is currently with the Swiss team at the European Championship, where he's been quietly impressive.
