Italian forward hails miracle performing David de Gea

Southampton and Italy forward Graziano Pelle has described one of David de Gea's save against him as a miracle.

The Italians knocked out the Spanish team in the second round of the European Championship.

De Gea made a great save from Pelle's header in the first half of the game, but the Italians finally won 2-0, with Pelle scoring the second goal.

Pelle was full of praise for the United goalkeeper after the game, and was quick to point out to past De Gea's heroics in games between Manchester United and Southampton in the League.

"Scoring at the end feels great, but I had also tried in the first half and De Gea performed a miracle." Pelle said.

"He’s done that to me before in the Premier League too, so I reminded him and we had a laugh."

De Gea has developed into one of the best goalkeeper in world football. He has been arguably United's best player over the last three seasons.

He has committed to United. And with Spain out of the Euro's, he will join up with United in pre-season training after an extended two weeks break for participating in the European Championship.
