Schweinsteiger: 'My injury has healed'

The Manchester United midfielder says everything about him now is fine now.

The German captain came of the bench to score the winning goal in their 2-0 win in their group C first game with Ukraine.

Schweinsteiger suffered a knee injury in March, while with the national team, and has since then been racing against time to be for for the European Championship.

The 31 year old starting from the bench, came on in the 90th minute, only to score from an özil pass, in want would be his first international goal in five years.

"Everything's fine. My injury has healed, I feel good." Schweinsteiger said after the match.

"I ran so hard in the celebrations that I'm a bit out of breath still.

"It was amazing for that to happen, it`s the kind of thing you can only wish for, but the most important thing is the team wins."

Schweinsteiger becomes the first Manchester United player to score in the Championship, a very unlikely one, you'll want to say.

Hopefully more United player will get on the score sheet for their teams.

United fans are also hoping Schweinsteiger will have an injury free competition and be fresh for the oncoming season.
