Germany coach 'very happy' for Bastian Schweinsteiger

Germany coach Joachim Löw says he's 'very happy' for the Manchester United midfielder after he came of the bench to score the winning goal in their first match of the European Championship against Ukraine on Sunday.

Schweinsteiger who has been out since March, came on in the 90th minute, to score the second goal in their 2-0 win, for what would be his first international goal in five years.

"I'm very happy for Bastian Schweinsteiger - after all the work he's done in recent months, he scored the decisive goal.'' Low said after the game.

"It will help him and the team a lot."
