Manchester United are weighing up a surprise transfer bid for Winger Gareth Bale.
Manager José Mourinho has kicked off his transfer dealings with the signing of Villarreal defender Eric Bailly. Bale has been long target by United, even when he was at Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, United will offer €120m for the Welsh winger. Real Madrid are keenly interested in Juventus midfielder, and may use proceeds from the Bale transfer to fund their pursuit of the Frenchman.
Bale current contract with Madrid runs out in 2019.
Real Madrid selling Bale is a possible but is a tough one. United will have to pay through their nose to land the 26 year old, who may not be willing to join now due to lack of Champions League football.
