Manchester City could be preparing a shock move for former United goalkeeper Victor Valdes, according to multiple reports.
The Spanish international was released by United some days ago, after just playing two game with the first team.
His move to United was facilitated by firmer United manager Van Gaal who worked with the shot stopper at Barcelona. The duo however had a strained relationship at Old Trafford, after Van Gaal opened up to the media that Valdes was no longer in his plans after failing to feature in a reserve game.
The player was then forced to train alone, and later went on six month loan to Standard Liege loan in January, one that was terminated in April.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper may however be set for a reunion with Pep Guardiola at City.
The Citizens have reportedly make enquiries about his availability. A move will however not happen earlier than June 30, when his official contract with United expires.
