The Manchester United goalkeeper kept another clean sheet in Spain's 3-0 Victory over Turkey in their second game of the European Championship.
The clean sheet means De Gea is the first goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in his first five competitive games for a national side.
Competitive games in this context excludes friendlies and basically includes games with points or qualification(knock out).
The record of a goalkeeper keeping clean sheets in his first four competitive games for a national team was held by England legendary goalkeeper Gordon Banks in 1966. De Gea equalled the record by keeping a clean sheet in his first game against Czech Republic.
De Gea made his competitive debut for Spain in their Euro qualifier against Luxembourg on 12 October, 2014.
Since then, De Gea has not conceded a goal in a competitive game with a point at stake. This include games against Luxembourg, Macedonia, Ukraine, Czech and the record setting one against Turkey. Though he's conceded in friendly game against Georgia.
