Lazio closing in on signing Manchester United star striker

Robin Van Persie
Robin Van Persie could be a on his way to Rome, as Lazio are have reportedly struck a deal with Manchester United for the striker and are ready to offer the Dutchman a four year contact.
Lazio have viewed Van Persie as the ideal replacement to Miroslav Klose, whose contract would be expiring at the end of next season.  The striker only played a peripheral role last season – due to injuries and a personal dip in form, though he scored 13 goals in 36 games.
The striker only recently voiced out that he wants to play every week and that he may have to sit and review his stay at United, though family reasons may also influence his next move, as he is a family man. His son currently plays for Manchester City’s youth team.

A fee of £11 million is been quoted for the player who joined United from rivals Arsenal in 2012. It is left to be seen if Van Gaal will let his fellow Dutchman leave.

Do you think United should let van Persie leave?
