Mino Raiola, the agent of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he is trying hard to negotiate a move for his client to Manchester United.
United have reportedly made submitted a bid for the player that has been rejected by the German side.
The attacking midfielder has only a year left on his current deal, and has refused to sign a new deal, the club has confirmed. Rather than cash in on the player, Dortmund are prepared to let him see out the last year on his deal and let him go for free.
His agent has previously stated that the player wants a move to United.
Despite the club's reluctance to sell, Raiola said his team is working hard to push in a deal.
"He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation," He said.
"We are still talking to Dortmund and working hard on this. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now."
The 27 year old scored 18 goals and had 20 assist to his credit last season. He will come in as a great asset to United on the attacking front.
