The Manchester City captain has opened spoken on the new rivalry in the Manchester derby.
It is no secret the two managers (Guardiola and Mourinho) that would be involved in the next set of derbies have personal differences that bores down to their time in Spain. Both managers were in charged of some of the toughest and intriguing El-Classico in history.
The two tacticians will continue their rivalry in England and will face each other in the Premiere League as early as the fourth week according to the new fixtures.
Vincent Kompany has however played down the personal rivalry between the two managers.
The Belgian captain who is out of the European Championship due to injury, working as an analyst for ESPN said:
"For me it's always United vs. City, first and foremost.
"That is bigger than any names in the game, to me. It's never bad to throw a little bit of hot sauce on the barbeque when you've already got it on full flames but it's already one of the biggest fixtures in world football.
"If there's a little bit of a personal battle as well then that will only add to a fixture that is already great in itself."
Manchester United will travel to the Etihad on Match day 4 (September 10) for the first leg of the Manchester Derby.
It is one game fans can't wait to see.
