Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger will start Germany's second game of the ongoing European Championship from the bench, after coach Low said his captain is not fit enough to play for 90 minutes.
The German captain came on as a late substitute in their opening game against Ukraine, only to score the winning goal in their 2-0 win.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game against Poland, Low talking about schweinsteiger said:
"He does not have the strength to play 90 minutes, but his role off the pitch has become more and more important in recent years, too," via ESPN.
Low also highlighted Schweinsteiger's importance in the team.
"He is a leader, both on and off the pitch, very experienced -- he has won everything at club level and is also a world champion.
"Bastian is an important go-to guy for me because he thinks a lot about football. He has a great influence on our team."
Three points in their game against Poland will guarantee the Germans qualification into the next round of the competition with a game to spare.
