Manchester United and City to fight for Dortmund star

Both Manchester teams are set to battle it out for the signature of Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to an exclusive by Daily Star.

The 26 year old is reportedly considering his future at the club after letting go of two key players in Mats Hummels and  Manchester City bound Ilkay Gundogan.

The striker recently opened up that he doesn't know what the future holds.

He didn't join up with his  national team last week, and Gabon manager confirmed that as he was away sorting out his future.

He scored 36 goals in 45 games for the German club last season, and  has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Arsenal, and both Manchester clubs recently.

Arsenal are already in talks with Leicester striker Jamie Vardy and may not be actively involved in the race for the player.

According to the report, sources close to the player have said both teams are currently leading the chase for his signature.

United will have to part with up to £65m to land the player.

United are reportedly close to completing the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, though nothing is sure yet. Signing Zlatan will end United's chase for Aubameyang.
