"I have to believe De Gea": Del Bosque

Spain coach Del Bosque has given his support to the embattled United goalkeeper.

Reports emerged yesterday that De Gea, Iker Muniain and another unnamed Spanish international had sexullay assaulted some ladies in a Madrid hotel in 2012.

This coming up on the eve of the start of the European Championship has raised a lot of rumours and concerns about De Gea's participation in the competition, with false news immediately circulating that the 25 year old has been sent back home.

Del Bosque says it not up to the Spanish national team to judge De Gea while saying they would give De Gea the love and support he needs.

"He appears to have done nothing and I have to believe that,"  Del Bosque said.

"We are here to support him and give him all the love that is required in this situation.

"He has given explanations and made it clear that he had nothing to do with this, and said so with great sincerity."

When asked if De Gea would be sent back home, he responded:

"We are not to judge."

De Gea has claimed his innocence in the matter, while Muniain has labelled the case as 'absolutely false."

Isco whose name is mentioned in the ordeal has said he knows nothing about the whole event.
