David De Gea start for Spain vs Czech Republic: Euro 2016

The Manchester United goalkeeper starts for his national team in their first game of the European Championship.

De Gea headed into the competition amidst fierce competition with Spanish legend  Iker Casillas for the number one spot.

He wasn't helped either by the allegations of sexual assault that cropped up last week, jeopardizing his participation in the competition and could have affected him psychologically.

Thankfully, he's been strong, denied the allegations, and has been deemed fit by coach Del Bosque to start.

Coming from a fantastic season with United, fans will be hoping he would be able to perform at his best for the national team just as he has for United.

All the best Dave.

Spain's starting XI vs Czech Republic: De Gea; Juanfran, Ramos, Pique, Alba; Busquets; Silva, Cesc, Iniesta, Nolito; Morata.
