Manchester United star earns late call up to country's Euro squad

Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has been called up into the French final squad for the European Championship after being initially left out of the preliminary squad.

The 26 year old was called up as a replacement for injured fellow midfielder Lassana Diarra.  The former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder suffered a knee injury that will keep him out of the competition.

Schneiderlin has been a peripheral figure at United since joining from Southampton.  He's missed key games, and will be hoping for a new start under José Mourinho.

He will be competing for playing time in the France midfield that also include Leicester City's N’Kolo Kante, former United midfielder Paul Pogba and PSG's Blaise Matuidi.

Former United defender Patrice Evra also made the squad.
